Among the multitude of photographs we have inherited from the past, there are those that have entire life stories behind them. They are silent witnesses to the events and the atmosphere of another era now lost forever.

We at Creative Ideas put together a selection of photographs of this kind. We can’t build a time machine, but with fascinating and revealing images like these, there’s really no need.
